Description

This retreat blends Laura’s signature offering of physical philosophy and lived yoga alongside Metta Earth co-director Gillian’s expertise in contemplative ecology and eco-psychology. Days are book-ended by practice and include a unique encounter with contemplative ecology specific to the season, the group in attendance, and the theme selected. Past have included: tulsi meditation and tea ceremony, elderberry syrup making, crafting currant elixirs, creating salve from Metta herbs, and decoding local superfoods and infusing vinegar.

Includes

All organic meals, mostly local and from the land at MEI; lodging and access to 158 acres of MEI land; river and waterfalls a few minutes walk away, nearby mountain trails and hiking, all yoga classes, meditations, lectures, and contemplative ecological experiences.


About Metta Earth

Metta Earth Institute (MEI) is a non-profit educational retreat center in Lincoln, Vermont. With 158 beautiful acres, they are nestled in a bowl of mountains with stunning mountain views in all directions. Meadows, pastureland, and horticultural fields are interspersed with hardwood and evergreen forest, old orchards, stonewalls, seasonal streams, and an enormous variety of wildlife habitat. Walking and hiking places abound, and a magnificent, pure river with clear pools and waterfalls is just a few minutes’ walk down the road. MEI is based on a small-scale diversified, organic and biodynamically oriented farm with an acre-sized retreat garden and other herb and flower gardens and 2 food producing greenhouses.  They practice regenerative agriculture, carbon farming, and many other environmentally sustainable practices.

Refund Policy

Deposits and balances are non-refundable.

Monies paid towards retreats are transferrable to another retreat up to 3 months prior to start date. After 3 months prior to start day the monies paid are non-transferrable. All other monies paid are non-transferable and must be used towards the original event. At any time, retreats and staycation retreats can be registered to another person in the case that the original registrant cannot attend. Retreat participants and staycation retreat participants who cannot attend can also choose to give their spot in the form of a scholarship, and someone who would not ordinarily be able to attend due to financial restriction will be offered the spot.
