Living the practice of yoga.

My teaching emphasizes living the practice of yoga, with deep respect for textual study and yoga philosophy. My first priority in life is to live the practice of yoga and to teach others who want to do the same. The majority of my work is focused on the research and transmission of yogic philosophy in a way that is undiluted yet understandable. The story of yoga’s arrival on our mats at present time is winding, but I believe the mat is a mirror and, regardless, the movement has its pedagogic place.

My commitment to learning is of utmost importance to me; I have over 1000 hours of training in addition to an 800 hour IAYT Yoga Therapy certification, a 500 hour professional yoga certification, two 200 hour training certifications, and almost fifteen years of teaching experience. I hold a BFA from The University of the Arts, a Masters in Religion with a concentration in Indian Philosophy and Sanskrit from Rutgers University, and am currently a second-year PhD student in Religion focused on Hinduism at the University of Florida.

Community is one of my cornerstone values- we need to be with others, to belong, and to congregate. Community uplifts commitment and consistency, two of the most important qualities that prolong a yoga practice. Communities of individuals with shared values promote change in their own and each others lives, and in the world around them. My membership includes both half-yearly and monthly options; I have always championed a flexible-payment model, and if the listed options don’t work for you, you can suggest your own pay-structure that does. Live classes are scheduled every month, and the on-demand library contains 200+ postural classes of various lengths, meditation/pranayama, lectures, and workshops with new classes added monthly. You are welcome here, and I hope that you will join us.
